It’s all in the pocket

Hi there!
These are mixed media paper pockets that i’ve created recently. I’m totally into paper art heaven these days again. I am almost literally covered in paper and glue, and of course lots of glitter, hehe. So much fun!!! When i’m in my fairy beautiful heaven there’s nothing but beauty and joy! The only thing I miss is wearing a dress like the ladies in the picture. Oh how I would have loved to live in those days!!! I’m often feeling I don’t belong to this timeline. I guess that’s why I create so much art in this vintage victorian or edwardian or baroque style. I love the details of all they used to put in their architecture, objects, gardens and fashion, but into so many other things. Books were treasures, imprinted and embossed with golds and linens. A scissor was not just a scissor, but a pure piece of art with beautiful scrolls and everlasting quality. We have become such a dumb species when it comes to that. You only have to look at architectural ‘advancement’: NOT. It’s nothing but declination I observe, in everything! Well, I try to stay away from that decline as much as I can, but it’s hard. Would you believe i’ve never had even and I-pod or even and mp3 player?! Of course I do know how to create and mp3 file, or convert things, or start using one. I do have a smartphone, but don’t use it. I want to stay smarter than my phone, haha. I’d rather stay a bit old fashioned then. Anyway, here are a couple of paper pockets. These are square pieces of paper with on the backside little sides that you can put glue on and stick onto a card or page in a journal or book. When glued you can put ephemera, tickets or notes into the pocket. Aren’t they fun?! I love them! I still have so much more to share. Tons and tons of cards, folio’s and jewelry still to take pictures from. But paper is patient, so it will come in time. I hope you enjoy the floral eyecandy and could make you dream a bit of the beauty of the past. Have a wonderful day!
