Earrings and struggles
I have been off for a while again, i’m sorry! I just couldn’t stop beading! I’ve not been feeling well at all and have been going through a very deep valley. I am almost at a point that I can’t walk anymore, due to problems with lymphedema and pain. I am wearing therapeutic elastic stockings for more than 11 years but ever since my life really went down. They are horrific things. I can’t do with and can’t do without. They hurt so much and I can’t move with them. They are so tight around my ankles and knee that they cut off blood flow. I tried a new brand this year which is Bauerfeind Venotrain curoflow, but they are way too tight around the ankle and make deep ridges in the ankle. Soooooooooooooooooo painful! They also made one pair way too tight and made a mistake, but due to ‘Cojona’ the representative is unavailable if not on a holiday, pffff. Imagine walking with tie-strips around your ankle, really tight and then try to walk. No doctor seems to understand me. They all say it’s normal. I even dared them wearing tie-strips for half an hour to make them understand how it feels. I took tie-strips with me even. Yeah really!!!! The doctor looked at me as if I was just escaped from Mars! I truly feel like an alien and am totally lost. They don’t take me serious enough. Do not look too deep into the matter. So many problems with those darn things.
Anyway…… I have given up on them and after my home doctor left me in the dark as well and didn’t answer my call and went on vacation (aren’t they all these days?!!!), I decided to let this whole sick system of healthcare here in my country for what it is, and have decided to invest in a hometrainer. Now…… of course that was an earlier option, but I simply couldn’t afford one. I need one that’s capable of heigh weight and those are very expensive. The cheapest starts around 1200 euro! Anyway, long story short…… I made sure that I had the money ready and made a phonecall to a supplier and explained what I needed and that I was on a budget as well. He really was so kind and recommended this Tunturi Endurance E80 hometrainer. He assured me it was suitable for me as he was selling those to healthcare physicians as well. So I decided to make the dive and a couple of days later they came to install it. So now i’m on the hometrainer every morning and evening. First I had to start very slowly. I couldn’t even get on the thing at first! But with perseverance and tears I managed to get on it and start slowly, just making my legs go round for a couple of minutes. Slowly I added more minutes and did about 15 minutes every day for about two weeks. I couldn’t handle more. Then i tried to go up to twenty minutes in little steps, but I got a setback. With Dercum’s disease it’s very hard to move as the lymph flood is not working properly and so souring comes in and that’s where the disease starts to get worse. So…. I had to go rest for two days and started all over again. Now i’m on the hometrainer for about 10 to 15 minutes in the morning and in the evening, and that goes better. I do feel a little bit of relief, but I still can’t walk outside normally. Running errands or going to a shop is almost impossible. Hanging on the cart, and slow steps have to do the job. It’s a very difficult thing to go through, but I am determined to overcome my struggles and I will win. God helps me, and it feels good at the end. So here I am, back on some kind of track with tons of beaded earrings and other bling, haha. We keep on smiling. Sorry for this long story, but that’s what the reason was for being off for a while. I am now sharing this batch of pinkish earrings all created with using Czech Superduo earrings. Also a pink pendant and very special white pink star earrings with Swarovski pearls. A lot of bling bling! I hope you feel inspired to go make some earrings yourself today! Let me know what you are making ok! I’d love to hear from you. I hope you’ll have a wonderful Sunday! Stay safe!
