Gloire from the past

Rosa Gloire de Dijon by Ingeborg van Zuiden

Hi there

This is one of my most favorite climbing roses of all times. I had to say goodbye from it more than 10 years when we moved house 😪😪😪. I couldn’t take it with me unfortunately. I sometimes miss it so much. I could make such gorgeous little displays with the pretty fluffy filled peach salmon roses it produced. The scent was straight from heaven and it was such a strong rose too. The flowers came in a variety of oranges, yellows and pink. Later i’ve tried to grow it in other gardens, but it never came back as this one. Today I have one in my garden but it’s not doing well. Maybe next year. The soil must have everything to do with it, my guess is. Anyway, I thought to share the pictures of ‘Gloire of the past’ with you so you can see what a beauty it was and how it grew at the front of our old house.

Blessings
