Ivy fairy
Hello there,
I always wondered why it’s Ivy is named ‘poison Ivy’. Of course I understand it’s a climber that just never stops and even is capable of killing trees. But to give it a name like ‘poison’. I mean….. we don’t call sharks that way either don’t we? Or snails? They go on an on and on killing around. Oh well, I don’t know that much about it. But it sounds so negative, while maintained it’s the most gorgeous asset in a garden. My garden is filled with it and since two years as we were not able to maintain the garden anymore the Ivy truly go out of hand. But it’s that we didn’t do anything about it, while God told us to maintain the land. So why give Ivy this negative name to blame?! One could say it’s overgrowing everything as it’s truly a very strong climber and gets out of hand easily. But I love it! The birds and bugs love Ivy too, especially blackbirds. They come to eat the black berries that it gives in winter. It’s such a lovely sight from the inside out to see a blackbird picking the berries. I love that! So I celebrate (poison) Ivy, ha! I always have to go against the grain. But it’s dark in my garden at the moment, very dark. I guess I have to walk through it, just like these times are and start to create more light in my garden. Well my gardener will come in a couple of weeks and he’ll help me do that job. Anyway…..
This is a handmade card I created with a pocket on the backside filled with a tag and decorative card. The card has lovely green fairies in vintage style decorated with glitter and those wonderful iridescent green drops. I added wordart and lots of cameo’s to this card. I love those too! Have a wonderful Sunday!
